Accountancy Recruit have another Financial Controller Vacancy for a Liverpool based client which is being handled by our North West team

Accountancy Recruit partners with a range of businesses from small, owner managed to large publicly listed companies across the UK.  We are currently working with a Liverpool based SME, in the manufacturing sector, to appoint a Financial Controller.  The Financial Controller will be a technically strong accountant and will manage the monthly and year end reporting processes.

The Financial Controller will have the following responsibilities:

• Manage, mentor and motivate 1 team member
• Prepare consolidated, monthly management accounts and VAT returns
• Produce monthly reporting pack and present to the CFO
• Ensure the completion of bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Budget analysis
• Manage the audit process and liaising with external personnel
• Oversee the preparation of year end statutory accounts
• Budgeting & forecasting
• Contributing to company financial strategy and decision making process
• Undertake financial analysis and reporting
• Ensure robust financial controls, systems and processes are in place
• Oversee tax and compliance
• Develop forecasting models (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow)

The Ideal Candidate:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified Accountant
• Strong technical capabilities with experience of reporting under IFRS
• Excellent communicator, with both internal and external colleagues at all levels
• Hard-working, efficient and motivated by results
• Ability to analyse and make recommendations, alongside the capacity to drive through key business changes
• Strong business acumen and understanding of financial issues
• Qualified and highly experienced in a similar role
