Accountancy Recruit have another Finance Manager Vacancy for a Warrington based client which is being handled by our North West team

Accountancy Recruit is partnering with a Warrington based client to appoint a Group Finance Manager.  The role would suit a technically strong Accountant from an audit background.  The Group Finance Manager will work closely with the Group Financial Controller and will be integral in the group reporting function.

The Group Finance Manager will have the following responsibilities:

• Prepare year-end financial statements ensuring compliance with IFRS and manage external audit process.
• Work to tight deadlines producing timely and accurate information to the Auditors.
• Coordinate and submit monthly group statutory and regulatory reporting to head office and produce monthly consolidated Balance Sheet reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement of processes within the finance function to improve efficiency.
• Assist with cashflow forecasting and the production of long-term strategic plans.
• Work with HMRC and oversee annual filings, produce and submit quarterly VAT returns.
• Oversee and maintain group accounting policy manuals and monitor compliance across the group.

In order to be successful in this role the Group Finance Manager will have the following experience:

• Qualified Accountant – ACA/ACCA, ideally from a Top 10 practice.
• Minimum of 5 years PQE.
• Strong track record in financial reporting and controls with experience of preparing statutory accounts.
• Experience of preparing VAT submissions.
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
• Strong analytical mind and excellent attention to detail.
• Mindset of continuous improvement with the ability to identify opportunities to drive efficiency.
