Accountancy Recruit have another Accounts Assistant job vacancy for a Central London based client – handled by our Greater London team

Our well established client with a reputation for quality are looking to recruit an assistant accountant into their small team due to a period of sustained growth.  The role will assist with the day to day running of the finance function to ensure that everything runs smoothly and operates effectively with timely management of both accounts payables and receivables, along with cash management and month end journals.

The responsibilities of the role will include

• Accounts receivable – ensuring all invoices are raised in a timely manner and checked against scopes of work
• Assisting in the production of monthly management accounts as instructed
• Posting revenue journals
• Management of revenue accruals and deferrals
• Debtors report and credit control
• Assisting with WIP management
• Accounts payable – processing supplier invoices
• Management of weekly supplier and expenses payment runs
• Dealing with any client and supplier queries
• Managing and processing company credit card statement
• Weekly and monthly time report management
• Weekly revenue forecast
• Petty cash management
• Maintaining weekly cash flow schedule
• Bank reconciliations
• All balance sheet reconciliations including fixed assets, prepayments and accruals
• Assisting with the preparation on monthly management accounts

The successful candidate will have least 2 years’ experience in a similar role and will have studied or be studying AAT/CIMA/ACCA.  You will have all round finance experience with exposure to month end processing.  You will have a high attention to detail and have a can do attitude.
