Accountancy Recruit have another Management Accountant Vacancy for a Chester based client which is being handled by our North West team

Accountancy Recruit work with a wide range of businesses including owner managed SMEs, PE Backed and PLCs to recruit finance professionals at all levels up to Finance Director. We are currently partnering with a large manufacturing business in Chester and an opportunity has arisen for a fully qualified Management Accountant with a commercial mindset and the desire to partner closely with the business in order to add value through the provision of commercial insight.

The Management Accountant will be required to undertake the following:

• Run and manage the month end process, examine and analyse financial information and reports to prepare the month end pack
• Pull together month end reports and present monthly packs to the management team with commentary and recommendations, present findings both written and verbal to the senior leadership team
• Support business profitability and growth through findings and recommendations
• Ensure the business follows all required legislation
• Work closely with budget holders across all support functions within the business to prepare budgets & forecasts
• Present actuals versus budget and present variances to department heads with recommendations for driving revenue and managing costs

The Ideal Candidate:

• Fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA)
• Manufacturing industry experience would be ideal but isn’t essential
• Finance business partnering experience desirable
• At least 5 years post qualification experience
• Commercially astute and a dynamic, strategic thinker
• First-rate analytical skills, with the ability to present findings to people across departments
• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritise
