Accountancy Recruit have another Assistant Management Accountant Vacancy for a Runcorn based client which is being handled by our North West team

Accountancy Recruit are partnering with an engineering company to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant.  This is a great opportunity within a supportive team and offers study support with progression to management accountant.  As an Assistant Management Accountant, in this position you will:

• Assist with the preparation of monthly results and report to head office
• Perform month end adjustments and reconciliations
• Investigate and explain variances
• Take ownership of bank reconciliations
• Provide support around Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
• Support and assist with the budgeting a forecasting process
• Provide support for reporting to HMRC, VAT return

To be successful in this role the Assistant Management Accountant will have the following experience:

• Studying towards an accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACCA)
• Working knowledge of FRS102 and IFRS
• Experience of using accounting software
• Knowledge of corporation tax, VAT and related compliance requirements
• Highly proficient in Excel and Office
• Ability to identify opportunities for improvement around systems, processes and controls.
