Accountancy Recruit have another Financial Accountant Vacancy for an Altrincham based client which is being handled by our North West team

Accountancy Recruit are partnering with a large retail client in Cheshire and an opportunity has arisen for a Group Financial Accountant to join the team on a fixed term contract for 6-12 months with a strong possibility of a permanent position.  The Group Financial Accountant will work closely with the the Group Finance Manager to produce robust and accurate reporting at year end.

The Group Financial Accountant will be required to:

• Assist with the roll out and improvement to internal controls within the finance department.
• Support with the implementation of treasury management functions.
• Assist with the preparation and organisation of the statutory audit including meetings with the Auditors.
• Assist with preparation of the Annual Report and subsidiary financial statements.
• Work with the Senior Finance Manager to structure the cycle and plan for statutory reporting.

The Group Financial Accountant will have the following experience:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) with a minimum of 2 years experience post qualification.
• Up to date understanding of IFRS.
• Ability to understand and implement improvements to business processes.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to act as the point of contact for external auditors to respond to any queries.
