Accountancy Recruit have another Bookkeeper Vacancy for a Cheadle based client which is being handled by our North West team
Accountancy Recruit are partnering with a growing SME in Cheadle and as a result of continued growth an opportunity has arisen for a Bookkeeper/Administrator. The Bookkeeper will record all company spending, including purchases, invoices and sales and perform bank reconciliations to keep accurate records for the external accountant to file accounts.
Key responsibilities:
The Bookkeeper will be accountable for delivering an accurate trail of company spending and will be responsible for the following:
- Daily use of financial processes, enhance and update processes where needed
- Management of sales ledger
- Verify and post transactions
- Balance accounts on a day-to-day or week-to-week basis
- Manage invoices & payments
- Track and record all expenses and reconcile against bank account
- Liaise with external accountants
- Assist with organisation of events, book travel and arrange venues for events
- Prepare schedules, statements and reports as requested
- Manage & file relevant documentation
The Ideal Candidate:
- Possess first-rate numerical skills
- Strong bookkeeping skills and previous experience in a similar role
- Solid organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, including relationship building with individuals across the business
- Highly computer literate with experience of accounting packages
- Ability to work quickly, accurately and to deadlines, using a logical and methodical approach
- Knowledge of Excel or other spreadsheets
