Accountancy Recruit have another Financial Controller Vacancy for an Alderley Edge based client which is being handled by our North West team

Accountancy Recruit is partnering with a business in Alderley Edge to recruit a part time Financial Controller for a growing business. Ideally the Financial Controller will work 2 days per week and manage the finances of a small, but growing business.

The Financial Controller will have the following responsibilities:

  • Production of monthly financial management information pack.
  • Budgeting, planning and forecasting.
  • Production of yearly Statutory Accounts.
  • Corporation Tax, PAYE and VAT returns.
  • Weekly meetings with departmental managers to discuss financial performance.
  • Providing recommendations for ways to improve business performance.
  • Providing financial information to aid key strategic decision making and formulating business strategies.
  • Advising on the financial implications and consequences of business decisions.
  • Interpreting and communicating financial data to non-financial managers.
  • Suggesting improvements to financial systems and processes.
  • Implementation of robust internal controls and ensuring adherence to corporate governance.

The Financial Controller will have the following experience:

  • Qualified finance professional with a proven track record of working in a small business.
  • Ability to be very hands on as the sole finance person.
  • Previous experience in a similar role and an openness to take on more transactional tasks.
