Accountancy Recruit have another Company Accountant job vacancy for a Durham based client – handled by our North East team

This boutique financial services business are looking to recruit a company accountant following a prolonged period of growth. Reporting to the Managing Director your role will be to produce all the accounts information for the firm and offer strategic guidance at month end, alongside the firms existing external accountants.  The role will include the following responsibilities:

• Preparation of month end and annual reports
• Production of monthly forecasting reports
• Income and expenditure reports
• Reconciliation of income statements
• Completion of bi-annual FCA reports
• Continuous monitoring of the value of funds under management by the firm
• Quarterly preparation the firms VAT return
• Payroll duties including bonus calculations and pension contributions
• Preparation of sales and purchase ledger, including credit control as appropriate
• Updating historical spreadsheets to monitor ongoing performance and provide Management Information
• Help identify scopes for cost savings and introduce money makers where possible
