Accountancy Recruit have another Bookkeeper Vacancy for a Tonbridge based client which is being handled by our South East team

This niche construction business who have an enviable client portfolio are looking to recruit a bookkeeper to help manage their monthly accounts. Working within a busy and focused office your role will be to produce accounts up to trial balance and liaise closely with the external accountants at month end. It is essential that the candidate has experience within the construction sector. Ideally you will be AAT qualified or studying towards this. The role will involve all aspects of accounting including:

• Balance and maintain accurate ledgers
• Process the purchase and sales ledger
• Manage the credit control including chasing payments, issuing credit notes, reconciling statements
• Coordinate bank deposits and report financial results on a regular basis to management
• Process CIS invoices
• Prepare quarterly and monthly tax returns, along with payroll, operating and business taxes

This is a very varied position and would be ideally suited to a candidate who has experience within the construction sector who is ready to work in a stand alone finance role. You will have excellent support from the management and work within a lovely office environment. You will enjoy a generous salary, with annual pay rises and an attractive holiday package.
