Accountancy Recruit have another Assistant Accountant Vacancy for a Huntingdon based client which is being handled by our South East team

Are you looking for an opportunity to progress your career within a supportive environment?  This could be the role for you.  We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to provide support to the finance controller with the month end reports for the business as well providing support with bank reconciliation and ledger management.
Your remit will include:

• Accruals and prepayments
• Variance analysis
• Reconciling company bank accounts
• Monitoring cash flow
• Processing payments
• Producing monthly management accounts
• Preparing VAT returns
• Ensuring purchase and sales ledgers are up to date

The ideal candidate will be:

• Highly proficient in maths, with outstanding attention to detail and accuracy
• Demonstrable past experience in a similar Assistant Accountant Role
• Solid understanding of key accountancy principles and processes
• First-rate numerical skills, alongside excellent Excel skills
• Hard-working, proactive, with a ‘can-do’ attitude
• Strong inter-personal skills, being confident working with individuals across the team and wider business
• Part qualified with AAT, CIMA or ACCA
