Accountancy Recruit have another Assistant Accountant Vacancy for a Southampton based client which is being handled by our South East team

This is an exciting opportunity within a growing business where you will have the opportunity to grow and develop you accountancy skills. Working as an Assistant Accountant you will report to the Finance Manager and have full autonomy for the accounts preparation. Your role will include:

• Reconciliations, including posting and balancing
• Forecasting & budgeting, including variance analysis
• Preparation of reports on debtors and creditors
• Completion of quarterly VAT returns
• Maintaining all necessary records including invoices, expenses, payments and transactions
• Management of ledgers
• Accruals & prepayments
• Ensuring high quality reporting and robust processes are in place to support the team

The Ideal Candidate:

• Highly proficient in maths, with outstanding attention to detail and accuracy
• Demonstrable past experience in a similar Assistant Accountant Roles
• Hard-working, proactive, with a ‘can-do’ attitude
• Strong inter-personal skills, being confident working with individuals across the team and wider business
• Part qualified with AAT, CIMA or ACCA

This role is ideally suited to an Assistant Accountant or an Accounts Assistant who is ready for the next step in their career.
