Accountancy Recruit have another Audit Senior Vacancy for a Rotherham based client which is being handled by our Yorkshire team

This well established and highly regarded local Accountancy Practice are looking to recruit an experienced Auditor/Audit Senior to form an integral part of the firm.  Working closely alongside a small team your role will be varied and challenging and will offer you the chance to develop your skills within a supporting environment.

Due to the volume of work coming into the office you will be very hands on and take over a very established portfolio of clients where you will be expected to attend their sites, and maximise the relationships.  You will work on a mixture of clients including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.

The main duties of the role will be as follows:

• Report and present findings to the business, making recommendations for solutions and improvements to policies / procedures
• Understand the commercial objectives of the business and the impact made by internal audit
• Liaise with client FDs or company directors
• Liaise with external advisors as needed
• Plan and deliver internal audits of determined business area or department
• Ensure the business complies with all relevant internal requirements, industry regulations and government legislation
• Assist with other audit matters and projects
• Enable the business to fulfil their commitments to international and government compliance
• Preparation of statutory accounts
• Maintaining Companies House records

The Ideal Candidate:

• Experienced and qualified or part qualified (ACA / ACCA or similar)
• Knowledge and experience of UK GAAP and International Auditing Standards (UK and Ireland)
• Capability to supervise, lead and inspire members of staff
• Results driven, with excellent planning and organisational skills
• Exceptional analytical ability and experienced at making recommendations
