Accountancy Recruit have another Accounts Manager Vacancy for an Essex based client which is being handled by our South East team

Our client, a niche professional services business are looking to recruit an accounts manager/bookkeeper to assist with the next phase of their ambitious growth plans.  In order to achieve their plan they are looking for someone to join the team who can implement all the necessary financial processes and procedures and ensure the accounts are produced to trial balance in a timely and accurate manner.  Your role will be to record all company spending, including purchases, invoices and sales and provide accurate information on company outgoings for the purposes of filing accounts.

You will report directly to the managing director and have full autonomy within your role.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Management of sales ledger, including raising invoices and dealing with queries
  • Managing the CIS invoices
  • Maintaining accounts, verifying and posting transactions
  • Balancing accounts on a day-to-day or week-to-week basis
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers and banking contacts
  • Working closely with accountants to prepare VAT returns
  • Preparing schedules, statements and reports as requested

The Ideal Candidate:

You will be organised, efficient and skilled at keeping track of the various types of spending by the company.  You will possess first-rate numerical skills and have previous experience in a similar role. Solid organisational skills and excellent attention to detail are essential and you should have the ability to work quickly, accurately and to deadlines.  This role is ideally suited to an experience accounts manager/bookkeeper/accounts assistant looking for autonomy within their next role.
