Accountancy Recruit have another Assistant Accountant Vacancy for a Southampton based client which is being handled by our South East team

Our client is an award-winning professional services firm with offices across Europe.  Due to exciting growth plans they are now looking to recruit an ambitious individual with experience of working as an assistant accountant.

This is a wide ranging and fast-paced role where your primary function will be to support the Financial Controller with the following:

• Assisting in the preparation of the monthly management & statutory accounts.
• Balance sheet management including fixed assets, prepayments & accruals.
• Analysis & reporting of overheads.
• Management of foreign subsidiaries, including accounts preparation & tax compliance.
• Assisting the preparation of annual budgets.
• Preparation & submission of VAT returns.
• Administering the firm’s accountancy systems.
• Maintenance of system exchange rates.
• Control account reconciliations.

We are looking for a highly professional candidate who has the ability to complete work to high standards within tight deadlines.  You will be keen to learn and progress within your role, and ideally be studying an accountancy qualification.
