Accountancy Recruit is partnering with a distributor of services and products with a UK and international marketplace, in the recruitment of a Temporary Accounts Assistant for an initial 3–6-month assignment, to start week beginning 13.5.24, based in Chelmsford, Essex.

The position would suit an individual looking to join an established team within a fast-paced work environment. With a business focus on the distribution of cutting-edge technology, the company focuses on clear communication, the accounts team ensures the wheels keep turning and are the backbone of the operations process.

You will need a strong understanding of Sales Ledger to excel in this role, along with the ability to take full accountability for this area of the business. This streamlined team remains effective with the additional support of the Finance Manager and full access to Senior Managers when required.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Posting purchase invoices and raising sales invoices.
  • Reconciliations of Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger.
  • Liaising with suppliers and customers to resolve queries.
  • Preparing payment runs.
  • Allocating bank payments and receipts with monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Assist in the preparation of month end close, accruals and prepayments and P&L Accounts.
  • General office duties.
  • Responding to emails / phone calls.
  • Assisting with other accounting duties including Credit Control.

  • Proven track record in an account’s environment.

Remuneration
Salary £28-30,000 pa pro rata.
Hours: Monday to Thursday 9.00am – 5.30 pm. Friday 9.00 am – 5.00 pm.
