Accountancy Recruit is partnering a client based in Manchester to engage a temporary AP Manager. The role will be for 3-6 months and is hybrid with 1-2 days per week in the office in Salford. The role would suit a Transaction Services Manager, Financial Operations Manager or Purchase Ledger Supervisor to take ownership of the AP function within a global business.
The AP Manager will have the following responsibilities:
- Manage the global AP process which includes corporate credit cards and expenses, vendor management, payment runs.
- Review supplier invoices for accuracy, completeness, timeliness and compliance with company policies.
- ?Manage the end-to-end AP process, including but not limited to facilitating the creation of new vendors, assisting procurement with the purchase order process.
- Generate regular accounts payable reports, providing insights into cash flow, outstanding payables and vendor balances.
- Monitor and control expenses by analysing spending patterns and identifying areas for cost reduction.
- Continuously assess and improve accounts payable processes for efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure all AP statutory reporting is completed on time and to a high standard.
- Oversight of AP related correspondence and resolve any escalated issues.
- Manage corporate travel partner to facilitate employee travel.
- Leverage project management skills to ensure projects stay within deliverable commitments and within budget.
To be successful in this role the AP Manager will have the following skills:
- Accountancy qualification or equivalent combined education and work experience.
- AP experience in a global environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems – Netsuite beneficial
- Excellent project management skills
- Strong ability to build stakeholder buy-in
The rate for this role is guideline, the rate payable will be commensurate with experience.
